“When I grow up I want to be a Teacher!” says the 5-year-old girl Best in Music and Arts’ Camille.
Some of our dreams are broken, changed and some are achieved through our passion and desire to make it happen. Fast forward today, I am not a teacher but an entry-level worker at a half government owned company.
I really love teaching and sharing what I know to other people maybe because there’s still that childhood dream of mine burning inside of me. Yes, 2017 is such a great year for me! By just meeting these awesome bunch of people who pushed me to have my very first Calligraphy Class, that 5-year-old little girl is starting to relive her dreams by being a teacher of Calligraphy and brush lettering!
I am beyond grateful for also having M in my life who constantly keeps on pushing me to my great potentials. One time while we were shopping for my workshop materials he suddenly dreamed with me, “Malay mo in the coming months magtuturo ka na sa mas malaking crowd and we will be using overhead projector for your classes!” Such a lovable human being!
Okay, this intro is getting longer than the usual so let’s start My Week in Photos!
MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 16-22, 2018 (THE ONE WHERE I HELD
MY THIRD CALLIGRAPHY CLASS!)
Monday alone time at Mcdonald’s. It’s been ages since the last time I eat alone. Sometimes I miss sitting alone and watching people do their thing.
I bought some new calligraphy pens and look at them they are so pretty! My favorite is the Pentel Fude Pen in blue!
Sunset on tuesday.
Finally I made a decent floral background for my #30daysofbiblelettering. I made it on a watercolor paper and I still need more practice on the watercolor.
Ramen with the parentals. Though they are not a fan of ramen! Classic pinoy that they still love lugaw over ramen. haha!
I had my private workshop with my co-workers daughter on Friday. Look at her output! She’s a very fast learner student!
These are my calligraphy workshop kits which includes brush pens and worksheets. Plus I really love wrapping them up in these pinterest style!
Cute keychains with personalized name tags are from my student and entrpreneur – Ms. Joyce Icban. Thank you so much Ms. Joyce for these freebies!
I attended Summer Solstice Bazaar at Hungry Neighbor’s and we met Ms. Hazel. She’s very friendly and oh lovable! I thought she’s a long lost friend from the way we talk to each other!
I remember picking these berries on our backyard when I was a kid and sometimes I just pick them because they will be props on my little kitchen. Haha!
What’s your dream when you’re a kid? Did you ever find some time to achieve it or did you just let it outgrow you? I hope you can still achieve it even in the smallest possible way.
Keep on dreaming,
