All of us will eventually turn into a Tita. In short, all of us will get old. But it’s still your choice if you want to be that cool and millenial Tita or that grumpy old Tita. In my case, I choose to be that cool and millenial Tita, who constantly supplies my inaanak good kdramas to watch. Haha!
Here’s the story on how I am becoming an official Tita of the year!
MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MAY 7-13, 2018! (THE ONE I TURNED SLOWLY INTO A TITA!)
It was a local holiday on Monday in Pampanga. So instead of taking a day trip to the mountains or travel to another province, I choose to stay all day in bed and watched Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix.
When I was a kid I always want to eat lugaw at the school canteen. But I don’t have any lunch money so I ended up getting envy with my friends who deliciously eat their lugaw. Haha! Hey but now I can eat lugaw any time I want! Not only topped with egg it also comes with a side dish – tokwa’t baboy!
On wednesday and thursday, I got too busy crocheting shawl. So I didn’t get any photos on these days.
I remember eating Taho almost everyday when I was kid. So remembering things like this makes me feel very old and an almost Tita. Lelz! The taho man usually carries two large steel drum connected through a long stick. It is usually placed on the shoulders while the taho man shouts, “Tahoooooo!”
Taho is a Filipino snack made of fresh soft tofu, arnibal (sweetener and flavoring), and tapioca pearls. It is freshly delivered every morning so it is basically a breakfast snack.
But that day the taho man is upgraded! He no longers carries the drums on his shoulders because he now uses a motorcycle to peddle Taho. Cool, right?
We spent Mother’s day by the pool. Dad and Mom cooked fresh crabs and shrimps for our lunch. Then that night the rain was pouring hard and the pool sizzles because the hotness of the water in it.
Here’s a card I made for Mommy!
Are you slowly getting old? Do you miss your childhood days?
If yes and yes, don’t get sad because getting old is a privilege, a gift. Getting old means you are still alive celebrating birthdays, getting those gray hairs also means you are wiser than your old self. Celebrate life and love yourself as you get old!
Your cool and millenial Tita,
