SUPERGIRL SAVES THE DAY!

January 24, 2016

I really mean the title’s post for today because Supergirl literally saves my day!

Weekends are days which I really look forward to, it’s because I love watching TV shows. After watching Game of Thrones and leave me waiting for the next season of it (which will be showing on April) I find myself looking for new TV shows that will accompany me – that leads me to CBS’ Supergirl and my weekends are never been the same.

SupergirI was a child when her planet Krypton was dying. She was sent to Earth to protect her cousin. But her pod got knocked off course and by the time she got in the Earth her cousin had already grown up and become Superman. And so she hid her powers until recently when an accident forced her to reveal herself to the world. To most people she was an assistant to CATCO worldwide media but in secret she’s working with her adoptive sister for the DEO to protect her city from alien life and anyone else that means cause at harm.

I love this show because of course it was so feminist. I love shows with female lead characters on it, they are super game changer! High five ladies!

The show is its usual superhero saves the day story but what I really love about it and makes me write about it after watching its 10th episode is the lessons this show exchanges in the world. It’s full of good stories and lessons to tell. It lets you be the superhero in your own little ways without needing the super powers of Superman or whoever the superhero you look up to. You can save the day by just being you.

I also love how Supergirl is so encouraging in the world full of chaos. She always cheers up the people around her. Yes, she also looks like a cheerleader in that cute outfit. It makes me want to wear one. Ha-ha!

Do you believe that you can be a superhero too? Because yes! I believe that even I can be a superhero in my own ways. By my words that can also encourage you to be the better version of you.

Can you hear that? The unleashing of your powers is just waiting you. Go and do something good today! Be a hero to someone and feel that satisfying feeling of helping other people in your small ways! Have a happy weekend guys!

I will leave this beautiful quote from Supergirl’s mom,

“There’s no correct path in life. You will lose your ways many times. What’s important is that you’ll find your way back to the brave girl you always were. Be wise, be strong and always be true to yourself.”

Cheers,
Camille
